Tell us about yourself and a fun fact

We are an illustration and graphic design duo called Rho Rho Illustration working from our home in Aberdeenshire in Scotland called Rho Rho Illustrations. We design illustrated products for the home, including prints, cards, ceramics and decorations. We’re both fairly geeky and were just agreeing that we would be willing to pay a considerable amount of money to have our Game of Thrones memory wiped so we could watch it fresh!

What made you get into the world of artwork and creativity?

We both grew up enjoying art – Thomas was always drawing in every spare moment from a very young age. We both ended up going to art school to study design and that’s where we met!

Where do you get your inspiration from when creating new artwork?

Our style is heavily influenced by our backgrounds in industrial design and that’s why Rho Rho drawings have quite a technical quality. Bridget is obsessed with colour and so this aspect is carefully considered in our designs. We draw on our surroundings for our subject matter: places in Scotland that we love; the natural environment that surrounds us in rural Aberdeenshire; and everyday product design we admire (old and new!).

What has been your favourite project to work on?

We really enjoy creating our illustrated map designs – they take a long time and are a labour of love, but the mix of technicality and creativity make them the perfect projects for us.
